Birding Hotspots

Where to see the birds:

1. From the dikes in the outer polders of
   Tøndermarsken (Margrethe Kog, Ny &
   Gl. Frederiks Kog), you can observe
   wading birds, ducks, geese and birds
   of prey.
   
2. From the large sea wall by the mouth
   of Vidå river, there is a fine view inland.
   
3. In Ballum Enge, you can watch birds
   along the coast, from the dikes and by
   Ballum Sluse (lock).
   
4. The Sort Sol® phenomenon can most
   often be viewed in both the Ballummarsken
   and Tøndermarsken areas.
   
5. From the car parks by the Rømø causeway,
   you can see geese, ducks, wading
   birds and birds of prey all year.
