Birding Hotspots

Where to see the birds:

1. At Blåvandshuk, you can see the birds
   from the beach and the outer dunes.
   
2. By the north car park on Skallingen,
   there is a lake where many birds including
   grey herons and various birds of
   prey come to rest.
   
3. The south car park on Skallingen is also
   a good place for birdwatching.
   
4. From Nyeng, there is a fine view out
   over Ho Bay. Turn left in Ho and follow
   the rough trail to Nyeng.
   
5. You can park close to Myrthuegård Nature
   School. From here, follow the gravel
   path west, which ends with a flight
   of steps up to a dune. From here, you
   can see the northern part of Ho Bay and
   the mouth of the Varde Å river..
