Birding Hotspots

Where to see the birds:

  1. Sidselbjerg – a view along Husby Klit
and over the southern reaches of Vest
    Stadil Fjord.
  2. The main road along Husby Klit is dotted
with car parks, from where you can
observe flocks of geese and wading
birds in spring and autumn. Stay in your
car to avoid frightening the birds away.
  3. The car park on Skelmosevej by the old
hunting lodge. View over the meadows
and lakes that form the habitat of breeding
aquatic birds. Flocks of ducks during
the migration seasons. In spring and summer,
you are likely to hear the call of the
    bittern.
  4. From the car park, a path suitable for
disabled people leads to a bird hide on
the edge of the reed banks. From here,
you can observe the lake and the breeding
    aquatic birds.
