Vejlerne - Thy
Vejlerne is one of the most important regions for birds in Northern Europe, and has a birdlife
population unsurpassed elsewhere in Denmark. The seaside meadows, reedy marshes and shallow lakes are home to some of the most remarkable birds and animals in Denmark: cranes, mallards, bitterns and otters. More than 1,400 pairs of mallards alone breed in the area. In addition to the breeding birds, the region acts as a magnet on migratory bird and attracts many rare “guests”.
